Site fuel stores, bunded fuel tanks, site chemical stores or domestic heating oil tanks from Kenton Hughes Ltd have been designed and constructed from our own experience of operating plant. The design of our fuel stores have been inspected by the Environment Agency and meet the The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001.
These site fuel stores address the following familiar situations:
- Contaminated fuel from dirty & wet funnels (if you can find one)? - Now stored inside!
- Dangerous fuel spills? - Now controlled inside bunded tank!
- Stand-alone drum of oil with no storage area? - Now contained securely in a bund!
- Spill kit wet or missing? - Now securely stored in the dry!
- COSH notes relating to tank contents? - Now securely stored in the dry!
- Fuel tank a magnet for thieves? - Now just looks like any other container!
Fuel store specifications:
- 10' x 8' or 7'6" x 8' steel containers constructed with high tensile steel to ISO shipping spec.
- Units capable of containing 5 tons of weight.
- Fully seam welded the bund is 120% capacity of tank to allow storage of oil drums, leaking vessels, funnels etc within the bund.
- Ventilation in walls (indirect type to prevent water ingress & sources of ignition)
- Spill kit mounted inside.
- Fire extinguisher mounted on inside of door accessible from outside when door is open (both the spill kit and fire extinguisher are kept dry, safe and secure).
- Double opening doors allowing good access.
- 4 metre delivery hose.
- Standard semi rotary hand pump fitted (electric 240v 24v 12v solar powered electric & petrol powered pumps available.)
- Pump, spill kit, fire extinguisher, nozzle & hose and level gauge all accessible with one door open.
- Doors are fitted with a lockbox containing a heavy duty Abus lock.
- Units come with forklift pockets as standard.

We also supply domestic heating oil tanks which can be provided in a range of sizes. We can supply just the tank for your heating engineer to install, or we can supply and install the tank at your home, office or other location.
